(born 1958) Russian TV journalist
Vladislav Flyarkovsky is one of those journalists who regularly appear on television screens and offer viewers the most up-to-date information about current events, analyze it and give them the opportunity to see what is happening in the world.
There is an opinion that journalists, especially television presenters, have a huge influence on the consciousness of their viewers. They seem to put their thoughts and understanding of situations into their minds. Viewers, however, do not trust all journalists who offer and evaluate information. This is eloquently evidenced by the ratings of information programs and their presenters. Flyarkovsky is not always the leader, but he has a regular audience that prefers to learn the news as he presents it.
Vladislav Pierovich Flyarkovsky was born in the small town of Oktyabrsky, Bashkir Republic. Soon the family moved to Baku, where he spent his childhood. Vladislav did not come to journalism right away, and, however, at first he did not connect his future with this profession. After graduating from school in 1976, Vladislav Flyarkovsky entered the Moscow Architectural Institute, but did not pass the competition. Failure befell him when he entered the Cinematography Institute (VGIK). For some time he worked as a photographer's apprentice, then as a photographer at an interdistrict photo art plant. In the same year, 1976, he joined the army. Vladislav served on the Chinese border, in 1977 he was transferred to the Pacific Fleet, and a year later he was sent to the Central Sports Club of the Navy.
After being demobilized from the army, Vladislav Flyarkovsky entered the preparatory department of Moscow University and in 1980 became a student at the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University.
He studied at the television department and, while still a student, mastered many of the intricacies of working as a television journalist.
After graduating from the Faculty of Journalism, Flyarkovsky began working in the youth editorial office of Central Television. It was a time of fundamental change in society, and journalists turned out to be the most active supporters of change.
Popularity came to him when he became the host of the news program “News” on Central Television. Young presenters Vladislav Flyarkovsky, T. Mitkova, Alexander Gurnov, Yu. Rostov, who gradually ousted the older generation from the air, very soon acquired a reputation as brave, objective and independent journalists. This was their finest hour. Journalists, including television ones, played a huge role in the political life of Russia in the early 90s. They showed and analyzed the most acute and dramatic moments of the birth of a new system in the country and personified the “fourth estate.” It was then that the concept of “television stars” appeared in Russia, including Flyarkovsky.
In 1991, when Russian State Television (RTR) was formed, he moved to this television company and became the host of the new information program “Vremya” as a political commentator.
Now Vladislav recalls with nostalgia the time when he felt like the king of information: “The weight of the journalistic journalistic word is falling. When we started making Vesti in May 1991, it seemed that every word I uttered from the screen had the effect of a directive from the CPSU Central Committee. But now this word is no longer a guideline for people, not a motive for behavior.”
At the beginning of 1993, Vladislav Pierovich Flyarkovsky, unexpectedly for many of his colleagues and much to the regret of television viewers, left the star clan and went to work as his own RTR correspondent in Israel. He made this decision despite the fact that his long absence from television screens threatened him with oblivion and the end of such a successful career. TV viewers, immersed in their internal problems, have little interest in what is happening far away from them.
At the same time, other famous journalists went abroad with Vladislav Flyarkovsky: A. Gurnov - to London, Yu. Rostov - to New York. Many perceived their departure as an “obscure personal calculation” and reproached the journalists for the fact that, despite their careers, they could not part with their “childhood dream of going abroad.”
Vladislav Pierovich Flyarkovsky himself understood that he had lost a lot with his departure to the promised land. However, working in Israel attracted him with the opportunity to try himself in a new capacity. First of all, he fulfilled an honorable mission - he opened the first ever Russian television bureau in Jerusalem. Despite the large financial costs associated with maintaining a news desk (in Israel it costs about 100 thousand dollars), Russian television incurred such expenses, since the Middle East is one of the hottest spots on the planet, where the fate of the world is decided.
Flyarkovsky had to work hard to thoroughly study the host country, which he knew only from reports ten years ago by the famous journalist Seiful-Mulyukov and from books. During his year of work, he got to know Israel and its people well, and made many materials about the problems of repatriates from the former republics of the Soviet Union.
Vladislav Flyarkovsky traveled a lot around the country, filmed reports about the lives of civilians, visited Palestinian camps, and reported from demonstrations. Many of the world's major television companies hire special people to work in hot spots - stringers, who literally film under bullets and sell their materials for a lot of money - from 300 to 1000 dollars. Flyarkovsky did all this himself together with cameraman A. Kornilov. Once filming the dispersal of a demonstration in a Palestinian refugee camp, he was wounded, although not dangerously. A rubber bullet hit him in the shin.
After working in Israel for three years, Vladislav Flyarkovsky returned to Moscow and again went on air as the host of the Vesti news program. He returned on time. The audience did not have time to forget their favorite. Flyarkovsky gained new experience, became more respectable and restrained in his assessments, and very quickly regained his star status. In 1997, he was nominated for the TEFI television award in the “Host of an Information Program” category, for which he competed with the presenter of the “Time” program on ORT, Igor Gmyza.
A long-standing creative collaboration with Eduard Sagalaev led to the appearance of Flyarkovsky on the TV-6 channel, where he was also one of the leading journalists.
Flyarkovsky’s wife Maria Rozovskaya is also a journalist. They studied in the same course and got married during their student years. They have a son, Ilya. Unlike her husband, Maria considers her favorite city to be Moscow, where she was born and raised. And her favorite theater is “At the Nikitsky Gate”, the director of which is her father, the famous director Mark Rozovsky.
On the night of the assault on the Dubrovka Palace of Culture from the twenty-fifth to the twenty-sixth of October, I could not sleep for several years in a row. And when I started to fall asleep, I started having a nightmare. The psychotherapist advised me to “program” a good ending, but it didn’t work. Recently this terrible night finally let me go. Everything is like in a fairy tale: in order to be saved, you need a savior to appear. Two years ago, Denis Shvedov broke the tradition of going to a distant country alone on his birthday. Sometimes they celebrated with a group, but he didn’t take anyone with him - he values personal space too much. And then he invited me. An important step, an indicator that the relationship has reached a new level. “We won’t go to Europe,” Dan said. - Crisis, San. Let's go to St. Petersburg! " I was in favor, it doesn’t matter where we go, as long as it’s just the two of us. The only problem is time. At night I returned from a tour in Munich, and at six in the morning I had to be at the airport again to fly with Denis. During the break, we still have to get home and change our suitcase. St. Petersburg, end of November - I am folding warm sweaters and a down jacket. Denis takes out half of the things from the suitcase with the motivation: “It’s not that cold there. If we get cold, we’ll buy you a jacket on the spot, there’s no need to drag your wardrobe with you.” Convinced. There was no strength to argue; I really wanted to sleep. And here it is early morning, airport. Fatigue, lack of sleep - I didn’t understand anything. Denis checked us in himself, received boarding passes and checked in our luggage. And then he started tugging: What is our solution? Look in the boarding area. What time exactly is the flight? See for yourself! My back hurts... What do you want from me?! In the end, Denis insisted that I look at the coupon and began to demonstratively run his finger along the lines: Rozovskaya Alexandra, flight such and such, departure time eight thirty, arrival point New York... New York?! Well what can I say? Shock! I only took my Russian passport with me - I was going to St. Petersburg! Thank God, Dan had the foresight and, secretly from me, taken my “foreign” with him. Such an amazing surprise could not fail to impress! I burst into tears from happiness. And the fatigue disappeared, as if it had never happened. Three months before the trip, Denis persuaded my best friend to convince me to get an American visa. She said that the conditions for extradition would soon become very complicated, we had to do it now, and I, a naive person in many matters, took her word for it. Designed it. In fact, there’s nothing to do with me... But now I have something to tell my children and grandchildren! In the end, everything turned out to be an incredibly beautiful story. I would even say that a real cinematic act was committed! Every girl dreams of being like in the movies... - Your mother Svetlana Sergienko is an actress. Father Mark Rozovsky is the director of the theater “At the Nikitsky Gates”, a famous director and screenwriter. And they were supposed to grow up like in the movies, weren’t they? I can’t say that I’m not adapted to the realities of life, but I really grew up in love. I had a happy childhood, yes, I am one of those who can say this phrase. The main association from that distant time is a large friendly family. Mom and dad are together at home and at work. There were behind the scenes and tours of which I have incredibly warm memories. I felt comfortable among adults. Maybe, of course, I annoyed someone, it happened that I took props to play with without asking and forgot to put them back... But then I didn’t realize this, and I only realized how important it is to return props when I became an actress.
